Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified candidate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. The candidate must possess a valid nursing license in New Hampshire or a compact license at the time of application.

Unit Information

Unit: CVOR - 4th Floor

Number of Beds: To be determined

Patient Ratios: To be determined

Type of Equipment: To be determined

Documentation System: To be determined

Key Responsibilities

  • Proficient in scrubbing cardiac cases that require bypass as well as related procedures in the mediastinum and thoracic surgery cases, including da Vinci-assisted surgeries.
  • Assist with open thoracotomy, VATS procedures, ECMO initiation, and pericardial window procedures.
  • Take on call duties; unit hours of operation are from 06:30 to 15:00, with call starting at 15:00 when assigned.
  • Weekend call coverage may be required on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays as needed.
Patient Care Requirements

The candidate will be expected to handle a variety of cardiac cases, including:
  • Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
  • Valve replacements
  • Aortic dissection repairs
  • Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
  • Da Vinci-assisted lobectomies and wedge resections
  • Mediastinal lymph node biopsies
  • ECMO procedures
Certifications Required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Dress Code

Scrubs will be hospital-provided.
