Med/Surg Tele RN - Night & Day Shifts

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position with the potential for extensions up to 18 weeks for winter coverage.

Schedule

Shifts consist of 3x12-hour rotations either at night (19:00 - 07:30) or during the day (07:00 - 19:30). Shifts may be variable based on the operational needs of the hospital.

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Med/Surg Tele RN to provide high-quality care to patients, with the possibility of floating to multiple units, including J1-2, J33, and ED, caring for similar patient populations. Experience in managing patients on ventilators is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the medical-surgical and telemetry setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a high standard of care.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty.
• Active Ohio RN license or compact license required at the time of submission.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications must be current and in hand.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment required during orientation.
