Job description We are a stealth mode Healthcare AI startup, and currently looking for Head of Corp Dev (full-time). We help physicians achieve independence by making it easier to start, operate, and grow their practices. Our team has also started and helped shape products used by billions at companies such as Meta, Dropbox, Instagram, Coda, and Nomad. Traction We have strong product‑market fit ($10MM+ ARR in under 14 months). We are profitable and funded by top‑tier VCs in the healthcare vertical. We are looking for a M&A finance operator to work together to scale to hundreds of customers. You'll fit in if you want to take ownership of a product, process, or company from 1 to 100. Special for this role Be the first M&A hire and build the acquisition engine for a single target vertical of service‑based businesses. Map the full market of companies and develop a deep understanding of the opportunity set. Build and run a proprietary sourcing motion for service‑based businesses with approximately $2–25M of EBITDA. Develop a practical operating playbook for the vertical, including operating model, margin profile, core processes, technology opportunities, and a six‑month transformation plan. Identify how technology and AI agents can transform service‑based businesses by automating workflows, improving margins, increasing throughput, and creating more scalable operating models. Partner directly with the CEO and COO on market strategy, sourcing, diligence, deal execution, and post‑close value creation planning. What You’ve Done 3–7 years in private equity, corporate development, search, investment banking, or a similarly deal‑oriented role. Direct experience sourcing service‑based businesses, ideally through proprietary or thematic sourcing. Built market maps, identified acquisition targets, run outreach, qualified opportunities, and managed a deal pipeline. Familiar with $2–25M EBITDA service‑based businesses and what makes them attractive: margin profile, customer concentration, retention, labor model, workflow complexity, and growth levers. Understand how technology can transform service‑based businesses, including where AI agents can automate manual work, improve customer delivery, and unlock operating leverage.
