The Health Sciences Library at St. Joseph’s Health in Paterson, NJ, a major, multi-site teaching facility, is looking for an energetic, friendly, service-oriented part-time medical librarian. Job responsibilities: Provides professional library services to hospital employees and medical staff Borrows and lends materials from and to other libraries to provide current information to all staff members Performs computerized literature searches using PubMed and other related databases Assists users in utilizing the software programs and electronic resources the library offers such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, CINAHL, UpToDate, AccessMedicine Assists in providing library orientation to new users Collects updated information for the library’s website Maintains the library’s collection by cataloging and processing new materials Qualifications: Masters Degree in Library Studies is required from an ALA accredited library school Two years library experience including the provision of reference services Familiarity with Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel Excellent customer service skills, superior organizational and communication skills and demonstrates attention to detail Salary: $30.00 an hour based on education, skills and experience #J-18808-Ljbffr Bergen County Cooperative Library System
