As an Advanced Hardware Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating advanced hardware components and systems that support aerospace applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and deliver cutting-edge hardware solutions that meet stringent aerospace standards and customer requirements.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F. In this role, you will impact the development of next-generation aerospace hardware systems that enhance safety, reliability, and performance in the aviation industry, contributing to Honeywell's leadership in aerospace technology innovation. ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and develop advanced hardware components and systems for aerospace applications
• Perform hardware validation and verification (V&V), qualification testing, troubleshooting, and regulatory certification to ensure compliance with aerospace standards and regulations
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers to integrate hardware and software solutions
• Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field from an ABEET accredited university
• Experience in advanced hardware design and development within aerospace or related industries
• Strong knowledge of hardware validation, testing methodologies, and troubleshooting techniques
• Proficiency with hardware design tools such as CAD software and simulation platforms
• Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements for hardware systems, including DO-160, DO-254
• Experience collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams including software and systems engineering WE VALUE

• Knowledge of embedded systems and real-time hardware interfaces
• Familiarity with Agile development processes and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for innovation
