This role is responsible for the integrity of financial reporting, oversight of cost accounting, and driving operational financial performance. This is a high-impact leadership role reporting to the Director of Finance.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and lead all general ledger and financial reporting activities across multiple business sites on timely basisEnsure compliance with GAAP, corporate policies, and all regulatory/tax requirementsLead and continuously improve month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesDrive cost accounting excellence including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost roll accuracyPartner with operations and plant leadership to analyze manufacturing performance, margins, and cost driversOversee inventory accounting including valuation, controls, physical inventories, and cycle count programsEnsure BOMs, routings, and labor standards are accurate and aligned with operational realityLead capital expenditure evaluation including ROI and payback analysisOwn internal controls environment and ensure audit readiness from strong control design and executionProvide leadership for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planningDrive financial insights and KPI reporting to support operational decision-makingOversee fixed assets, including capital tracking and depreciationEnsure strong working capital management including AR, inventory, and cash flowStandardize and improve processes across business sites and drive ERP optimizationProvide analysis and review of projects in conjunction with sales and operations personnelCompletion of annual insurance or industry surveysDevelop procedures that ensure accurate and complete information is transmitted to vendors Ensure procedures for receipt of purchased items are followedMaintains and supervises accounting team through recruiting, selecting, training, coaching, counseling, disciplining, planning, monitoring, and appraising job resultsMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, seminars, and training Other duties as assignedJob Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance requiredCPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experienceMinimum 3 years in manufacturing with strong cost accounting focusProven leadership experience managing accounting teamsDeep expertise in cost accounting, inventory, and manufacturing financeStrong ERP experience, Made2Manage experience preferredAdvanced Excel and Financial AnalysisEffective communication, leadership, and business partnering abilitiesAbility to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadershipTravel required 10–20%Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
