Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Emergency Aid in Penns Grove, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine rounds, observe and report concerns, manage access-related activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school district protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious conditions or policy violations, and communicate observations to appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
