Head of Data

Owning the entire data stack as a founding member of the team, the full-time Head of Data will architect and manage AI-native data engineering processes, oversee data pipelines, and lead the analytics efforts to drive data-driven decision-making in a remote environment with a preference for West Coast candidates. Key responsibilities Architect and direct the data stack ingestion, orchestration, and analytics while managing AI agents for coding and maintenance Build and maintain reliable data pipelines for clinical, claims, financial, and operational data Lead the data team by hiring, managing resources, and setting the data roadmap and quality standards Required qualifications Deep fluency in SQL and Python, along with experience in modern data stack technologies such as dbt and BigQuery Proven end-to-end ownership of a data system, including architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting Experience working with AI agents for data engineering and analytics tasks Strong bias for action and ability to work in ambiguous and evolving environments Passion for collaborating with clinicians in the healthcare sector, particularly in serving vulnerable populations
