Product Manager

Position Summary The Product Manager is responsible for supporting product strategy, development, and execution across assigned outdoor categories such as Furniture, Shelters, and Carry. This role owns product initiatives from initial concept through commercialization, aligning cross-functional teams on scope, timelines, cost targets, merchandising strategy, and customer expectations. The Product Manager works closely with design, operations, manufacturing, and sales to deliver commercially successful products and support category growth. The Product Manager is expected to independently lead key customer programs and development initiatives while partnering closely with the Category Leader to ensure alignment with broader business and category strategy. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Planning Support product line planning and assortment strategy across assigned categories Identify market opportunities through analysis of retail, consumer, and competitive insights Translate insights into clear product direction and development briefs Balance innovation with cost, margin, and execution constraints Product Development & Execution Lead product development from concept through commercialization Define product features, specifications, and cost targets Guide merchandising, positioning, and storytelling to ensure market competitiveness Drive alignment across design, operations, manufacturing, and sales Maintain development timelines, milestones, and deliverables Customer & Commercial Ownership Lead assigned customer programs, including retailer-specific development and assortments Partner with leadership to prepare for and present at line reviews and customer meetings Ensure product meets retailer expectations for price, feature set, and merchandising Financial & Business Management Support pricing strategy and margin targets throughout development Manage cost trade-offs and decision-making to maintain margin healthAnalyze sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends to inform decisions Product Lifecycle Management Manage product lifecycle across assigned categories Recommend assortment updates, line extensions, and end-of-life decisions Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and product evolution Process & Execution Excellence Maintain accurate product data across internal systems and e-commerce platforms Ensure readiness for launches, including product setup and cross-functional alignment Contribute to improving product management processes, tools, and workflows Skills & Competencies Strong commercial acumen and understanding of retail dynamics Ability to independently lead product initiatives and customer programs Effective cross-functional leadership and collaboration Strong project management and organizational skills Ability to balance creativity with practical constraints Clear and confident communication, both written and verbal High ownership mindset with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills Curiosity and passion for product and continuous improvement Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Industrial Design, Supply Chain, or related field Experience in product management, product development, merchandising, or related consumer goods role Experience working with consumer products and retail programs preferred Experience with sourcing, manufacturing, and commercialization processes preferred Knowledge of soft goods, hardgoods, textiles, or manufacturing is a plus Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop experience preferred but not required Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high accuracy Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed #J-18808-Ljbffr
