This is a hands-on, physically demanding manufacturing position working 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule .

Your Schedule

Employees are hired specifically for either Day Shift or Night Shift .

Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:10 PM
Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:10 AM

Night-shift employees receive an additional $1.50/hour shift differential .

A 2-2-3 schedule means you work approximately half the days of the year while working 12-hour shifts on your scheduled workdays.                    

• Week 1: Work 2 → Off 2 → Work 3 
• Week 2: Off 2 → Work 2 → Off 3

What You Should Expect

This is an active manufacturing environment—not a climate-controlled warehouse.

Employees should expect:

• A non-climate-controlled facility that can be hot during warmer weather and cold during colder weather
• Wood fiber and dust associated with our manufacturing process
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Repetitive physical work
• Regular sweeping, cleaning, and shoveling of loose wood fiber/material
• Handling 50-lb. bags as part of assigned duties
• Manual stacking of 50-lb. bags when production needs or equipment downtime require it
• Rotating between different production responsibilities
• Manufacturing noise, moving equipment, and required PPE

Attendance Matters

Reliable and punctual attendance is an essential requirement of this position.

Our production teams depend on each scheduled employee being present and ready to work. New employees are expected to follow the company's attendance policy beginning with their first scheduled shift.

The Bagger Operator works as part of the production team at our Conover, NC manufacturing facility and reports to the Production Supervisor.

Our facility manufactures erosion-control products using processed wood fiber. Bagger Operators rotate between several production responsibilities throughout their shift rather than remaining at one workstation.

Depending on production needs, employees may operate bagging equipment, inspect finished products, remove defective bags, prepare material for reprocessing, perform housekeeping and material cleanup, manually stack 50-lb. bags, and operate a forklift after completing company training and certification.

• Safely operate bagging equipment used to produce 50-lb. hydro mulch bales
• Monitor equipment and production output throughout the shift
• Help maintain established production and throughput goals
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, downtime, or inefficiencies
• Assist with production startup, shutdown, and shift-change activities

• Inspect finished products for packaging defects or inconsistencies
• Remove out-of-specification bags from the production line
• Cut open defective bales and place material into designated reprocessing areas
• Help ensure finished products meet established quality standards

• Handle and move 50-lb. bags as required
• Manually stack bags when production needs or equipment downtime require it
• Maintain organized material flow to reduce production delays and bottlenecks
• Operate a forklift after successfully completing company training and certification

Housekeeping is an important and regular part of this position.

• Sweep and shovel loose wood fiber and production material
• Clean production equipment and surrounding work areas
• Maintain an orderly work area throughout the shift
• Assist with plant housekeeping as production needs require

• Follow all company safety procedures and policies
• Maintain awareness of moving equipment and other manufacturing hazards
• Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses
• Rotate between production assignments as directed
• Communicate equipment, production, quality, and downtime concerns to the Production Supervisor
• Assist teammates as needed to maintain safe and efficient production
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

This position operates on a 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule . Candidates should make sure the schedule works with their transportation, family responsibilities, and other commitments before accepting the position.

New employees are expected to follow the company's attendance policy beginning with their first scheduled shift.

Successful employees in this position are able to consistently report to work on time, remain for their full scheduled shift, and maintain dependable attendance.

• Prior manufacturing, warehouse, production, or industrial experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Mechanical or technical aptitude is helpful
• Ability to learn multiple production responsibilities
• Ability to obtain forklift certification after company-provided training
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
