Quality Assurance Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer local to Centennial, CO. Onsite: Centennial, CO Pay: 48/hr - 61/hr Overview The Quality Assurance Engineer will support aerospace hardware development and production activities by ensuring products, processes, and systems meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This individual will play a key role in developing, documenting, auditing, and improving quality processes while partnering with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and program teams. The position offers an opportunity to build scalable quality systems and procedures, support production growth, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. Responsibilities Serve as a proactive quality leader by identifying issues and developing effective solutions. Participate in risk assessments of manufacturing and test processes. Review engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing documentation. Monitor production operations to ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards. Recommend improvements to assembly and production processes. Communicate quality concerns and inspection findings to manufacturing and engineering teams. Investigate supplier-related quality issues and support corrective actions. Support and manage internal and external audits, including AS9100 and ISO 9001 compliance activities. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve inspection-related issues. Lead defect investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement projects. Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and other inspection equipment. Maintain accurate quality records and documentation. Promote a safe, organized, and compliant work environment. Build strong cross-functional relationships through effective communication and teamwork. Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization. Support additional quality and compliance activities as needed. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation. Experience with non-conformance reporting processes, corrective actions, and root cause investigations. Experience supporting internal and external audits. Familiarity with quality management systems and process development. Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze trends and quality data. Preferred Aerospace, defense, or medical device industry experience. Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality systems. Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience. Supplier quality and corrective action experience. Experience developing, documenting, and improving quality processes and procedures.
