Senior ASP.NET / C# DeveloperHillis-Carnes Engineering Associates is seeking an experienced Senior ASP.NET / C# Developer to develop, enhance, and support business applications using Microsoft technologies.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain web applications using ASP.NET, C#, and SQL Server.Support and modernize existing ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC applications.Develop application features, APIs, integrations, reports, and internal tools.Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data-access code.Troubleshoot application, database, and production issues.Collaborate with business users and technical teams to define and implement solutions.Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and technical documentation.Follow secure coding and software-development best practices.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Seven or more years of professional experience developing applications with C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, NET Core, and Core API.Experience with RESTful APIs.Experience with WPF is a plus.Strong SQL Server and database-development skills.Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.Experience with Git or another source-control system.Experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and more, with the ability to review AI-generated output for accuracy, security, and maintainability.Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred QualificationsExperience with DevOps, including IIS, SSL, Windows Server, and application deployment.Experience with Telerik, Syncfusion, Microsoft Graph, or third-party system integrations.Experience modernizing legacy business applications.Hillis-Carnes offers a comprehensive benefits package including Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), medical (with Health Savings Account Options), Dental, Vision, company-paid life and long-term disability, wellness incentives, generous PTO and paid holidays, 401k with company match, and much more!HCEA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
