Service Coordinator
Location: El Cajon, CA (Hybrid) Pay Rate: $32–$33 per hour Assignment Length: 1-year W2 assignment (with potential to extend or convert)
Position Overview
On behalf of our client, a San Diego-based public utility company, we are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Service Coordinator to support daily operations, customer service activities, and special utility-related projects. This role plays a key part in coordinating services, supporting cross-functional teams, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound customer calls related to utility services, including service sign-ups, documentation requirements, and scheduling.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities for cross-functional team members within the Customer Service Department.
- Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
- Assist with service request tracking, data entry, and maintenance of customer records.
- Prepare and update reports, spreadsheets, and documentation using MS Excel and Word.
- Support special projects and process improvements as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, timelines, and service-level expectations.
Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of experience as a Service Coordinator or Customer Service Representative
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
