Estimator

A leading commercial painting contractor in the Euless, TX area is seeking an experienced and detail oriented High Level Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for large scale commercial painting projects, covering both interior and exterior scopes. As a key member of our preconstruction team, you will work closely with project managers, general contractors, architects, and suppliers to ensure precise bids and successful project delivery.


Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for commercial painting projects, including takeoffs, labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
· Analyze project plans, specifications, and addenda to determine painting scope, surface conditions, and special requirements.
· Solicit and evaluate bids from paint suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
· Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to assess project conditions, access, and potential challenges.


Must-Have (Non-Negotiable) Qualifications:
· Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Sales mentality with a focus on relationship-building
· Strong work ethic and organizational skills
· Self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently
· Excellent time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment


Qualifications:
· Experience with takeoff software (On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, BlueBeam, etc.)
· Background in paint, subcontracting, or construction industry
· Stable employment history
· Clear understanding of goals and expectations
· Team-oriented mindset
