Location Designation: Fully Onsite Become a key member of a team that supports New York Life's highest levels of leadership. The OCS assists the chairman, president, and CEO on critical matters, including the development and administration of policies and procedures. Additionally, the team provides legal support for the board of directors, its standing committees, and the executive management committee. Contribute to high‑impact initiatives and play a role in shaping the future of New York Life as part of the OCS. Role Overview Under the direction of the Security Supervisor, the Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all security policies and day‑to‑day operational procedures are followed. Officers will execute on the Corporate Security vision, mission, and goals as delegated by the Director of Security. What You'll Do May be required to work weekends, shifts, and extended hours. Control flow of visitors entering the building, ensuring only authorized people enter. Provide executive protection, bodyguard, or chauffeur duties. Write reports and may conduct investigations in the event of thefts, accidents, property damage, harassment, etc. Provide a variety of security functions including assignment to any post (indoors or outdoors), perimeter patrols, schedules, or coordinate car service activities. Follow instructions of Security Supervisors and other New York Life staff, as required. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Prior law enforcement experience of 10 years or more is required. Must be licensed to carry an unrestricted concealed weapon within New York City. CPR/AED trained preferred. Must be able to react quickly to sensitive situations. Superior verbal and written communication skills required to interact professionally with all levels of management, employees, tenants and visitors. Bi‑lingual language skills (English/Spanish) preferred. Exhibit excellent customer service skills. Prior security experience preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Salary and Benefits Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors, but not limited to individual experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and may also participate in an incentive program.
