• Requirements: * Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship. * Graduate of an accredited medical school with an MD or DO degree. * Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. * Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. * Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). * Previous experience with the VA is a plus.

What does a typical day look like for the Primary Care Physician?

You will:

• Monday – Friday, 8am–4:30pm.
• Direct Patient Care: Estimated 95% of the time involved in direct patient care. * Provide Primary Care management of acute and chronic conditions. * Initial evaluation, treatment and management of minor wound care, respiratory illness, gastrointestinal illness, burns, musculoskeletal trauma, dermatological illness, ENT, eye and urological problems. * Initial evaluation and ongoing management of chronic diseases, such as coronary artery disease, atherovascular disease, Type I and II diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, PTSD, depression and other chronic medical and psychiatric conditions.
• Administrative: Estimated 5% of time not involved in direct patient care.
