Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during the designated shift, providing professional nursing care.
• Apply the nursing process to plans of care, aligning interventions with the medical plan and input from patients and significant others.
• Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to coordinate delivery of care for patients across age ranges based on unit assignment.
• Incorporate teaching and discharge planning needs into the overall plan of care.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to other nursing staff based on current clinical competence and scope of practice.
• This position is represented by the CNA and supports unit-based patient care delivery.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in California
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (3x12), 36 hours per week
• Willingness to participate in a travel assignment lasting 8 weeks
• Ability to care for patients across age groups (as appropriate to assigned unit)
