Sentara is hiring a Full-time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA. $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Candidates! Location: Norfolk, VA- Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk) Shift: Rotating (8 hour shift) Hours: 6am-11pm* (occasional overnight coverage) Weekends: Every Other Weekend Holiday Rotation *Hours may vary to meet pharmacy staffing needs. Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
