Job Description BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. This full‑time position is located in Phoenix, AZ. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE). Manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. Evaluate donor reactions and respond to medical emergencies per SOPs; develop Center Physician’s standing orders and coordinate donor transport to emergency care facilities. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues to ensure donor safety and eligibility. Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation is required by occupational health or ER; consult EHS guidance for incident handling. Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats. Qualifications High school diploma or higher, including graduate equivalent from a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Licensed or certified as an LPN or LVN in the state where responsibilities will be assigned. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage: $25.60–$35.20 (U.S. AZ).
