POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Fatherhood Program Supervisor provides leadership, supervision, and operational oversight for the Fatherhood Program. This position ensures the effective delivery of fatherhood, family strengthening, case management, and participant support services while maintaining compliance with agency policies, funding requirements, and performance standards.

The Supervisor oversees program staff, supports professional development, monitors program outcomes, and ensures participants receive services that strengthen families, promote positive father involvement, increase self-sufficiency, and improve outcomes for children and families.

This position also cultivates community partnerships, supports participant recruitment and retention, and promotes continuous program improvement. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader committed to father engagement, family strengthening, and community-based human services.

 

GENERAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Program Leadership and Oversight

• Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the Fatherhood Program.
• Ensure program goals, participant outcomes, and contractual deliverables are achieved.
• Monitor service delivery to ensure quality, compliance, and alignment with agency and funding requirements.
• Develop strategies to improve participant engagement, retention, and successful program completion.
• Coordinate program services, workshops, support groups, and special events.
• Assist with program planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.

Staff Supervision and Development

• Provide supervision, coaching, and support to program staff.
• Conduct regular supervision meetings and performance evaluations.
• Guide staff in addressing complex participant needs and maintaining appropriate caseloads.
• Support staff training, professional development, and ongoing skill enhancement.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and inclusive work environment.

Case Management Oversight

• Ensure assessments, service plans, referrals, case notes, and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor participant progress and provide guidance on intervention strategies.
• Review files for quality assurance and compliance.
• Promote strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive service delivery.
• The Fatherhood Program Supervisor will support staff by providing case management services to at least 20% of the overall program caseload.

Group Facilitation and Curriculum Oversight

• Ensure effective implementation of the 24/7 Dad curriculum and other approved educational programming.
• Observe and support facilitators in delivering engaging group services.
• Facilitate groups as needed.

Outreach and Community Engagement

• Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, referral sources, employers, schools, healthcare providers, and government agencies.
• Lead outreach and participant recruitment efforts.
• Represent the agency at community meetings, coalitions, conferences, and other public events.
• Promote awareness of program services and identify opportunities for partnership and growth.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Support agency performance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by agency leadership.

 

PQI Functions

• Ensure and monitor the consistent collection of data by direct reports
• Identify patterns and trends of program services
• Compare data outcomes against established agency benchmarks
• Develop and implement improvement plans as needed, eliminating any identified problems
• Use results of data to inform decision making

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education and Experience

• Minimum of three to five years of progressive experience in human services, family support, fatherhood programming, workforce development, or related community-based services.
• Two years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience managing grant-funded programs and performance outcomes preferred.
• Experience working with fathers, families, underserved populations, and community stakeholders strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated leadership, supervision, and staff development skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building abilities.
• Knowledge of case management, family support services, father engagement, and community resources.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management systems.
• Commitment to culturally responsive, strengths-based, and trauma-informed practices.
