Accounting Manager

Movement Search and Delivery is partnering with a leading Detroit manufacturing organization to identify and evaluate an Accounting Manager . On-Site / Hybrid / Remote: On-Site Salary Goals: About the role: Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee corporate accounting, consolidations, financial reporting, and complex technical accounting matters. This role is ideal for a CPA with Big Four or large public accounting experience who has transitioned into industry and brings strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, technical accounting, and complex transactions. What You Will Do: Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and consolidation processes Oversee multi-entity consolidations, intercompany accounting, and eliminations Research and resolve complex technical accounting issues under U.S. GAAP Prepare and review technical accounting memos and accounting positions Evaluate complex transactions, including acquisitions, revenue recognition, leases, investments, and other non-routine matters Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP Partner with external auditors and support audit activities Develop and improve accounting policies, controls, and processes Lead and develop accounting team members Partner with senior finance leadership on special projects and complex accounting matters What You Need To Succeed: CPA required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4+ years of progressive accounting experience Big Four or large public accounting experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting Demonstrated experience with complex accounting transactions Strong consolidations and multi-entity accounting experience Experience with intercompany accounting and financial reporting Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Experience Big Four public accounting experience Experience transitioning from public accounting into a complex corporate accounting environment Experience with acquisitions, revenue recognition, leases, investments, or other complex accounting matters Experience supporting a multi-entity or global organization About Movement Search and Delivery MOVEMENT is a national executive search firm that connects companies with exceptional talent across engineering, manufacturing, finance, supply chain, information technology, sales, legal, and human resources. #J-18808-Ljbffr Movement Search & Delivery
