Registered Nurse - OR - FT Days

Overview Full Time – Days: 7a‑7:30p, 3 days/week rotating. Call required, rotational weekends, weekdays, and holidays. This position is referral eligible. Full‑time roles eligible for a sign‑on bonus of $30,000. Deliver high‑quality perioperative nursing care in a 9‑bed operating room that includes 3 robotic surgery suites. Provide direct patient care using a 2:1 nurse‑to‑patient ratio, ensuring safe, efficient surgical procedures across a variety of specialties. Key Responsibilities Preparing patients for surgery, including assessment, documentation, and coordination of care. Circulating during procedures, maintaining sterile field and patient safety. Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical team members. Managing robotic‑assisted surgeries and advanced surgical equipment. Monitoring patient status throughout procedures and ensuring smooth transitions of care. Clinical Nursing Responsibilities The Clinical Nurse reflects the mission, vision, and values of Indiana University Health, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory and accreditation standards. The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence‑based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The clinical nurse participates in decision‑making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency. Requirements Associate of Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program; candidates without accreditation may be considered with more than two years of acute care experience, subject to review by the Chief Nursing Officer. Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association required. Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. We are an equal‑opportunity employer.
