Why This Role Stands Out No portable book of business required Fully work from home or hybrid, your choice 1,850 billable hour target, below most Houston defense firms National platform with a long-term growth path What You Will Do Independently manage an active litigation docket Draft and argue motions, including summary judgment and discovery motions Take depositions of parties, witnesses and experts Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations and trials Prepare clients, adjusters, witnesses and experts for testimony Evaluate claims, assess exposure and communicate strategy to carriers and clients What We Are Looking For 9+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience JD from an accredited law school Active Texas bar license in good standing Strong command of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure Exceptional writing, research and analytical skills Proven ability to run a docket with minimal supervision Professional communication with clients, adjusters and opposing counsel Additional Opportunities Available This is one of several openings we are currently working in Houston at multiple experience levels.
