This role is tailored for a technical reporter who can handle and process large-scale datasets while optimizing front-end performance and back-end compute costs. You will act as a key developer migrating heritage reports into high-performing Power BI dashboards, building efficient semantic models, and driving automation scripts using Python.Core ResponsibilitiesReport Migration & Modeling: Modernize and migrate reports from OS to Power BI, establishing robust semantic models and highly optimized DAX calculations.Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot and optimize Power BI dashboards and Snowflake-specific SQL queries to ensure quick execution over terabyte-scale datasets.Architectural Calculation Placement: Determine the most efficient placement of business logic and calculations (Power BI layer vs. the database layer) to balance performance and maintainability.Automation & Team Collaboration: Partner with Center of Excellence (COE) teams to construct reusable reporting templates and develop Python scripts for reporting pipeline automation.Must-Have Skills & QualificationsDataset Scale: Extensive experience managing, querying, and processing terabyte-scale datasets daily.BI Technical Expertise: Advanced capabilities in Power BI Development, including deep understanding of DAX optimization, data modeling techniques, and clean dashboard layout design.Database Mastery: Strong proficiency in Snowflake-specific SQL, query optimization, cost management (storage/compute), and data architecture.Automation Scripting: Proficient in using Python for data automation tasks.Integration & Cloud: Solid experience integrating Snowflake with Power BI in an enterprise AWS cloud ecosystem.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
