Business Development Manager – Data Center Engineering Services
Actalent Services is building a dedicated data center growth engine and is seeking a relationship-driven Business Development Manager to help lead that effort.
This is not a traditional sales role. It is an opportunity to break into and shape a fast-scaling market where we are actively building our footprint, supported by a strong engineering services platform and executive commitment to invest.
You will play a key role in helping leading organizations plan, design, and deliver mission-critical data center infrastructure across North America.
What You’ll Do
As a Business Development Manager, you will drive new revenue by building strategic relationships across the data center ecosystem and positioning Actalent’s engineering services where they matter most.
- Develop and expand relationships with key decision-makers across the data center lifecycle
- Identify, pursue, and close complex engineering services opportunities tied to design, power, and infrastructure delivery
- Engage clients early in the planning and design phases to influence project strategy and capture long-term programs
- Navigate multi-stakeholder environments that include technical, procurement, and executive audiences
- Partner internally with engineering practices to shape solutions that address client challenges in power, cooling, and infrastructure
- Lead strategic account penetration efforts including new logo acquisition and expansion within existing accounts
- Support the development of proposals to ensure alignment between client needs and technical delivery capabilities

What We’re Looking For
We are targeting highly connected business developers with credibility in the data center ecosystem.
Experience and Background
- 7 or more years of business development or solution sales experience in engineering services, power, infrastructure, or data center environments
- Demonstrated success selling into enterprise or large-scale accounts
- Experience managing complex, project-based solution sales cycles
Domain Expertise
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including
- Power systems and distribution
- Cooling systems
- Engineering design or construction lifecycle
- Experience working with or selling into OEMs, AEC firms, or grid infrastructure organizations
Relationships and Influence
- Established network within the data center ecosystem
- Ability to engage and influence both executive and technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to open doors, build trust, and convert relationships into revenue
Selling Capability
- Skilled in consultative and solution-based selling strategies
- Ability to connect client challenges to engineering solutions
- Strong pipeline management, deal strategy, and account growth capabilities
Location and Travel
- Flexible location with priority markets including Northern Virginia, Dallas Fort Worth, Phoenix, Atlanta, and Illinois
- Travel as needed to support client engagement
