Become a valued member of our organization, which boasts over 650 providers and emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. We are seeking an Oncology Hospitalist to oversee the medical management of patients within our Oncology service.
The Oncology Hospitalist will collaborate closely with the outpatient Medical Oncologists at our Cancer Institute. A dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will assist with documentation and manage calls from the floor. Typically, the service handles an average of 10-20 patients. For a full-time Oncology Hospitalist, the expectation is to complete 182 shifts annually. In addition to a competitive base salary, compensation includes RVU production pay and a quality bonus component.
Schedule and SupportThis full-time position follows a 7 days on/7 days off schedule, with comprehensive support from APPs. There are no on-call duties associated with this role.
Our dedicated 10-bed inpatient unit at the regional medical center in Boise is currently supported by another Internal Medicine-trained hospitalist and two full-time APPs. The facility offers a complete range of medical and surgical subspecialties for consultation and support.
Requirements- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency program
- Board certification or the ability to obtain certification within three years of employment through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Board of Physician Specialties (ABPS)
- Eligibility for Idaho medical licensure and privileges at the regional medical center in Boise
- Valid registration for controlled substances with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA
