Senior MTU 2000/4000 Marine Diesel Technician

$45–$55/hr | Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

TDW Marine is looking for an experienced  marine diesel technician with strong MTU Series 2000 and 4000 expertise to join our South Florida team.

The Role

You'll diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul  MTU Series 2000 and 4000 marine diesel engines aboard yachts throughout South Florida.

We're looking for someone who can work independently at a senior level—someone with the experience and judgment to work through difficult problems, determine the right repair, and see the job through. You'll also work alongside and help develop mid-level and junior technicians as part of a skilled technical team.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and troubleshoot  MTU Series 2000 & 4000 engines
• Perform major repairs and  complete engine overhauls
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical and engine-performance issues
• Use OEM diagnostic software and technical documentation
• Complete accurate, professional service reports
• Support repowers and other major engine projects
• Mentor and train developing technicians
• Maintain TDW's standards for quality, safety and professionalism

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of professional marine diesel technician experience
• Significant hands-on experience with  MTU Series 2000 and/or 4000 engines
• Strong independent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated experience with  major engine repairs and complete overhauls
• Experience using OEM diagnostic software
• MTU factory training or certifications strongly preferred
• CAT and/or Volvo Penta experience is a plus
• A professional history that demonstrates growth in technical capability and responsibility
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work aboard yachts and in engine-room/confined-space environments

Compensation & Benefits

• $45–$55/hour , based on experience and technical capability
• Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualifying MTU Series 2000/4000 expertise and factory training
