Medical Laboratory Scientist - Clinical Laboratory

Medical Laboratory Scientist – Clinical Laboratory Providence Saint John's Health Center, Santa Monica, CA. Position: per‑diem, 8‑hour evening shifts. Responsibilities Under the general supervision of the Administrative Director of the Laboratory, perform accurate analysis of laboratory specimens. Demonstrate a high degree of proficiency and understanding in laboratory procedures in one or more sections of the Pathology Department or demonstrate competency in three or more sections to facilitate quality patient care and diagnosis. Participate in the solution of technical problems requiring a great degree of independent judgment and assist in development of testing in the assigned section(s). Participate in training and teaching responsibilities of the department. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (Chemistry, Microbiology, Physics, Biology) or a related Life Science. Upon hire: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license. Preferred Qualifications Hospital laboratory experience. Pay and Benefits Pay range: $51.76 – $80.34 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
