Remote Legal Assistant – Electronic Filing Specialist
Full-Time | Remote | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6 PM ET
Please note: This role requires hands-on experience submitting filings through a state court's electronic filing system. Candidates without direct e-filing experience will not be considered.
Equivity is looking for a detail-driven Legal Assistant to own our electronic filing operations. You'll work full-time hours (with a 30-minute lunch) and need to be available live and in real time during your shift. If you thrive in structured, high-volume workflows and take genuine pride in getting things right the first time, this role is built for you.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and submit electronic filings following established procedures
- Monitor filing status and confirm successful submissions
- Coordinate corrections and resubmissions as needed
- Track deadlines and ensure timely processing
- Maintain organized filing records and confirmations
- Communicate filing updates clearly to internal team members
What We're Looking For
- 1+ year of legal assistant or legal administrative experience
- 1+ year of hands-on state court e-filing experience (required)
- Sharp attention to detail and a low tolerance for errors
- Comfort following defined processes in a high-volume environment
- Strong deadline management and organizational skills
- Ability to pick up new filing systems and platforms quickly
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Self-motivated and reliable working independently in a remote setting
