PT HR Operations Administrative Assistant- 28 hours

Position Summary As the Part‑Time HR Operations Administrative Assistant you will undertake a variety of administrative HR duties for the Director of Human Resources. This role supports the HR Operations Specialist by facilitating daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual HR functions such as compliance audits, maintaining the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), coordinating meetings, and supporting Employee Engagement. It provides the agency with administrative support related to the HR function. Location Houston, TX 77054 Schedule Monday–Thursday: 9:00AM – 3:00PM Friday: 9:00AM – 1:00PM Three days per week onsite Type Part Time Compensation Hourly Compensation: $19.50 Pay schedule: Semi‑monthly Generous Paid Time Off based on hours worked Employee Assistance Program Responsibilities Monitor security systems for unusual activity and provide shelter access to clients, staff, and volunteers. Manage access cards via EMERGE security program. Perform necessary shelter operations, including providing access cards and maintaining a Daily Activity report. Enforce residential guidelines. Provide crisis intervention and information/referrals to clients. Provide administrative support such as relaying messages and resource referrals. Assist in conflict resolution, modeling positive problem‑solving and respectful communication. Ensure the security and safety of the Flagship Campus during crisis situations. Answer and route incoming calls. Collaborate with Residential Mentors, Case Managers, and Hotline Advocates to support clients. Other duties/projects as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. At least one year of experience in customer service, administrative support, or in a non‑profit setting working with clients from diverse backgrounds. Professional English proficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, Outlook). Valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record and reliable transportation; ability to travel to off‑site locations. Skills & Assets Strong communication skills. Excellent organization and multi‑tasking skills. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
