As a Medical Assistant Surgical at AdventHealth Surgery Center Wellswood, you will have the opportunity to work alongside highly-trained physicians who specialize in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and liver disease. While we work collaboratively as a group, each patient is assigned a dedicated gastroenterologist, ensuring personalized care and attention.Medical Assistant Surgical at AdventHealth Surgery Center Wellswood:The Medical Assistant Surgical is responsible for various clinical duties throughout the perioperative setting in accordance with the Standards of Practice and Policies and Procedures.Job Responsibilities:The Surgical Clinical Assistant will assist with:Nurses and physicians in patient care as neededPre-op and Post-op patient flowOperating Room proceduresInstrument reprocessingMonitoring supply inventory levelsMaintaining electronic patient medical recordsLight clerical duties as necessaryMaintaining a clean and safe environment according to industry standardsQualifications:High school graduate or equivalentCurrent CPR certification or will obtain upon hireOne year experience in a medical environment preferred.
