About the Role

The Company is in need of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to take on a hands-on role that encompasses the management of accounting, human resources, and IT functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to, reviewing and mentoring staff, overseeing monthly financials and reports, and working to maximize profitability. The CFO will also be involved in year-end reporting, stepping in to assist with AP, AR, and payroll as necessary, and will have HR responsibilities such as open enrollment and benefit management. The role is highly visible, with a direct succession to a retiring CFO and a seat at the executive table with the owner. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and possess full GL ownership experience, including monthly close and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate executive maturity and resilience, with the ability to work directly with the owner in a high-trust and visible environment. Advanced Excel skills, a systems-savvy approach, and a process improvement mindset are also preferred. The role requires a professional who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling additional duties as assigned.
