About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, finance, and financial reporting. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in accounting and finance, particularly within the insurance or related financial services industry. The CFO will be tasked with preparing and reviewing financial statements, providing in-depth financial analysis, and leading the implementation of automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Additionally, the role involves partnering with senior leadership to strengthen processes, controls, and technology-enabled workflows, as well as providing high-level oversight of HR and administrative functions. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in financial leadership. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to organizational improvement, strong technology skills, and the ability to evaluate financial systems and process enhancements. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting is essential, as is the ability to communicate financial results and recommendations effectively to senior stakeholders. While not mandatory, experience in the insurance industry or a regulated financial services sector, as well as a background in implementing financial or business process automation systems, is considered a plus. The role is on-site and requires a candidate who is willing and able to work in Torrington, Connecticut.
