Job Description Job Title: Urology Surgeon Physician Services – Reference #: 24-16708 Company: The Forrest Group Location: Columbia, SC 29209 Positions Available: 2 Rate: $192 – $200/Hour Start Date: 11/02/2024 End Date: 11/01/2025 Job Type: Full‑Time, Contract Experience Level: Experienced Application Deadline: 09/06/2024 Responsibilities Provide expert urology surgery services at the VA Health Care System in Columbia, SC. Perform a full range of urology surgery services, including clinical coverage, consultations, evaluations, assessments, and treatments. Perform minor and major surgical procedures as required. Provide on‑call coverage and be available for call‑backs outside of regular clinic hours. Collaborate with administrative personnel to manage and monitor consultation requests. Ensure timely and accurate completion of patient consults and progress notes in accordance with VA standards. Maintain the highest standards of care, meeting or exceeding recognized national benchmarks. Qualifications License: Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia. Board Certification: Board Certified by the American Board of Urology Surgeons, with current BLS and ACLS certifications. Hours of Operation: Regular clinic hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Operating days Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Physicians must report at least 20 minutes prior to the start of each shift. On‑call coverage is required 24/7, including federal holidays, with the expectation to remain within a 30‑minute travel radius of the Columbia VA Health Care System when on‑call. Standards of Care: Physicians expected to adhere to the highest standards of care, meeting or exceeding recognized national benchmarks, including those set by the American Association for Urologists.
