RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and monitor student attendance database which includes tardies and chronic absenteeism.
- Meet with students to issue consequences related to tardies.
- Place students on attendance contracts when appropriate.
- Assist the Deans with supervision in the hallways and other locations as needed.
- Reception duties: receive and provide assistance to students, parents and staff that arrive to the office with matters related to the attendance office and deans' office functions.
- Answer the telephone, provide detailed messages and records, and refer phone calls to appropriate individuals when an independent response cannot be provided.
- Notify parents and appropriate faculty/staff of attendance concerns (Teachers, Deans, School Counselor, Social Worker, Nurse, Associate / Assistant Principal, Director of Special Education, etc.)
- Review attendance reports and make necessary changes and adjustments.
- Work with faculty and staff to issue call slips, passes to students as appropriate.
- Maintain attendance records and other computer related reports as required
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or administration
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
- One to three years previous school or office work experience.
- Ability to operate a computer and related software such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email management.
