Respiratory Therapist Opportunity

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state license in good standing with the State License Board.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT; one year experience is acceptable if documented in facility notes as preferred, but 2 years is required by the client.
• BCLS (BLS) certification required.
• Epic electronic medical record experience required.
• Experience with airway management and suctioning including endotracheal tube suctioning, extubation, nasal airway suctioning, oral airway placement, oropharyngeal suctioning, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy suctioning.
• Medication administration experience with inhaled and aerosolized therapies including albuterol, ipratropium (Atrovent), combivent, inhaled Flolan, inhaled steroids, lidocaine, inhaled nitric oxide (iNO), Pulmicort, racemic epinephrine, and levalbuterol (Xopenex).
• Experience with aerosol medication delivery systems.
• Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Weekend requirement: every third weekend.
• Locals not accepted within a 75-mile radius; pending license accepted.
• RTO restriction: no more than 7 days off; guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks (cancellation rules apply as outlined by the client).

Preferred:

• First-time travel clinicians accepted.

• Facility Type: Hospital.
• Shift Name: Nights.
• Shift Pattern: Night 3x12-hour.
• Shift Hours: 18:45 - 07:15.
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend.
• Clinician expected to float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Pending license accepted.
