Job Description
Title
Registered Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapy

Schedule
- Shift: Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend rotation: Every third weekend
- Holiday coverage: Some holidays required

Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per week

Requirements
- RRT credential required
- Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License (pending license accepted)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Experience with Trauma Level II required; Trauma Level I preferred
- EPIC charting experience required

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide airway management, including endotracheal suctioning, extubation, and tracheostomy care
- Manage mechanical ventilation and perform weaning processes
- Administer oxygen therapy, including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) results and provide necessary interventions
- Deliver respiratory medications and facilitate appropriate delivery methods

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Up to two days of pre-approved time off allowed
- No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of assignment
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; Flu vaccine required
- References preferred; supervisory references within last two years required
