Join us in making better possible for patients worldwide. Summary The Account Manager is responsible for positioning and selling Pacira’s portfolio within the assigned territory. The role requires pharmacological and technical knowledge of our products and executing strategies to exceed sales revenue goals. Responsibilities Identify target markets according to organizational strategy. Ensure corporate revenue objectives exceed within specified geography. Work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, health care providers, and pharmacy to adopt the Pacira portfolio. Develop and maintain expertise of all products. Manage time to increase sales productivity and implement sales activities. Participate with Region Director in strategic and tactical planning. Update sales account information in Veeva. Demonstrate expertise of conversion processes in hospitals, ASC or offices. Execute sales and retention strategies for target markets. Conduct face‑to‑face sales meetings with physicians, schedulers, practice managers, and medical staff in accounts. Effectively manage territory, conduct office visits to educate on services offered, enhance, and share new advances. Communicate opportunities, market trends, and issues to management/staff promptly, preparing presentations as needed. Manage expense budgets. Keep up to date with the latest clinical data and discuss it with health professionals. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required. Minimum one year of direct selling experience to hospitals and health care professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device, or health care industry. Preferred: minimum one year of selling in the operating room. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent written and oral English communication skills. Strong presentation skills. Must complete hospital credentialing requirements on time. Experience using customer resource management tools. Valid driver’s licence, safe driving record, and reliable transportation; willing to travel extensively. Must live in or close to designated territory. Knowledge of key industry drivers, emerging medical trends, and performance metrics. Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and analytical skills with a customer focus. Self‑motivated, goal‑driven, and committed to continuous self‑improvement. Proficiency with sales management and territory management techniques. Skilled in account management, needs assessment, value propositioning, handling objections, and gaining agreement. Proficient with technologies (MS Office, mobile, web‑based applications). Must travel up to 90 % of the time, including overnight trips. Physical Demands The role requires frequent travel by automobile, airplane, and public transport. Mandatory long periods of sitting or standing, and the need to move quickly and safely in OR and other healthcare environments. Work Environment Work settings include corporate offices, hospital and outpatient facilities, and professional conferences. The employee will travel to B2B accounts and public venues.
