Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,422–$1,481 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 16 weeks Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.), schedule varies Start date: 09/14/2026 Setting: Hospital-type environment with a dedicated Mother Baby unit Responsibilities Provide direct care to mothers and newborns, including routine assessments, vital signs, and postpartum management Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects, documenting observations accurately Support breastfeeding, infant feeding, and lactation education; assist with newborn care and discharge planning Collaborate with obstetric and neonatal teams to coordinate care and ensure patient safety Assist with rooming-in, newborn assessments, and family education on newborn care and postpartum recovery Utilize evidence-based practices to promote patient comfort, safety, and positive birth outcomes Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant Mother Baby experience in a high-volume unit BLS and NRP certifications required Experience in a Mother Baby unit (approximately 40 beds; about 4,000 deliveries per year) Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.); schedule varies Must meet Northside holiday expectations: work 2 major holidays of the 3 (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve) No local candidates within 50 miles Benefits and Support Dedicated support throughout the assignment 24/7 recruiter and travel support Fast credentialing assistance Nationwide travel assignments Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
