At this facility, the assembler role is responsible for the day-to-day production and packaging of components used in our medical devices.At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. We’re working a minimum of 5 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.1st Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm M-FMandatory overtime may be required on SaturdaysResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.You will be working in a clean room manufacturing environment that requires you to wear personal protective equipment including eyewear, hair net and protective gowning.Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations.Works from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets and written or verbal assembly instructions.Sets initial layouts, and uses a variety of tools to prepare product(s).Make continuity checks on work in process and completed.May conduct quality inspections on processing lines in accordance with quality specifications.May disassemble, modify , rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.Operate microscopes as needed.Alternate between standing and sitting throughout shiftRequired Knowledge and Experience:No prior experience required ; comprehensive training will be provided.Ability to read and write in English in order to understand work instructions, safety protocols, and communicate effectively within the team.Nice to Have:Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writingPrevious experience with assembly workExperience working in medical device manufacturingBackground in automotive manufacturing or related industriesStrong mathematical skills for measurement and quality checksExcellent hand dexterity for detailed assembly tasksWillingness and flexibility to support different production areas as neededFor Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
