Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Must Have Minimum 1-year acute care hospital Stepdown/PCU Experience BLS & ACLS Unit Details Number of Beds: 34 (department is physically split between 2 floors, 5th and 6th) Number of Staff: ~45 Type of staff: Depend on patient census Day Shift – Charge RN without patient assignment; staff nurses; PCTs Night Shift – same as above – no changes in ratios Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 (occasionally flex to 1:6 if Med/Surg overflow) Traveler will be required to manage patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 Type of equipment: bladder scanner on each floor, Mobilabs for lab specimen labeling in each room, EKG machine, AccuVein, Virtual Sitter Cameras, W.O.Ws, Hoyer Lift, Sara Steady Lift, Sit to Stand Lift, Cortrak Machine to place Dobhoff tubes (core staff have competency), Ultrasound Guided PIV Machine EMR - Meditech Benefits Dental benefits Vision benefits Referral bonus Continuing Education Life insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
