• Assist with lumbar puncture

• Developmental Care
• Dysrhythmia Interpretation/Management
• Feeding support (bottle, breast, gavage)
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• High Frequency Ventilation
• Hyperbilirubinemia management
• Insulin administration
• Invasive Hemodynamic monitoring
• Isolation Precautions/PPE
• IV vasopressors
• Management of Chest Tubes
• Meconium Aspiration care
• Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome management
• Neonatal Dosage Calculations
• Neonatal Sepsis management
• Care for neonates 29-34 weeks gestation
• Nitric Oxide (INo) management
• Placement/Management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes
• Respiratory distress syndrome management
• Sepsis Work Up
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Telemetry monitoring
• Therapeutic hypothermia (cooling blanket)
• UAC (Umbilical Artery Catheter) management
• UVC (Umbilical Vein Catheter) management
• Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)

Desired Skills

• Experience managing PICC Lines
• Experience with special equipment (CPAP, BIPAP, oscillators)
• Ability to float to mother/baby unit as needed

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 years NICU experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Experience in a community hospital setting required
• Patient ratio experience of 2-3 required

License & Certification Required

• Current California RN license required
• BLS
• NRP (Advanced NRP if willing to obtain before start)
• PALS
