We’re looking for an Apprentice Electrician to join our team. The Apprentice Electrician supports Journeyman Electricians by installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, while also assisting with material handling, prefabrication, and warehouse tasks. The position requires ongoing training through weekly classes and in-house instruction, with adherence to safety policies and a willingness to work flexible hours. Job type: full time Paid on-the-job technical and professional growth opportunities Established career path for future advancement 401k and Roth 401(k) retirement savings plans Life & Disability Insurance plans Financial wellness program Employee assistance program Employee discount programs Comply with all company safety policies Work under the supervision of an assigned Journeymen electrician Install wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on the direction of a Journeyman Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools Perform warehouse duties and material handling as needed Perform pre-fab duties both on and off-site as needed Learn to follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes Attend schooling 1 night a week and maintain passing grades Attend in-house training Available to work overtime and/or irregular business hours as requested Performs other duties assigned Key Qualifications Able to work effectively in a team environment Attentive to safety Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills Independent worker with a strong work ethic. The physical activity for this role includes: Standing, walking, and sitting for long periods Walking on uneven ground Manual dexterity for use of small hand and power tools Repetitive motions like squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting Frequently lifting up to 50 lbs., occasionally lifting up to 80lbs.
