Are you skilled in corporate accounting principles and ready to be a key part of the accounting team in a thriving entertainment company? If so, we are looking for an outgoing accounting clerk to join our cast!**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:*** Provide support to the accounting department, in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures* Complete auditing tasks* Process accounts payables and/or accounts receivables as required* Maintain, verify, and update numerous accounting ledgers* Assist with regular bank and credit card reconciliations* Prepare and deliver accounting reports as directed* Keep all sensitive company information confidential* Perform general office support such as filing and other administrative tasks* Apply accounting principles, regulations, and policies to all work-related duties* Various data-entry tasks* Assess and research accounting issues, reporting to staff accountant to identify solutions* Perform other accounting related duties and tasks as assigned**WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL:*** Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements* Maintain a high-level of focus and attention to detail* Ability to work independently and as part of a team* Effective communication skills, both orally and written* Maintain a positive and respectful work atmosphere* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in order to meet all applicable deadlines* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and QuickBooks Desktop* Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times## Qualifications**EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION WE NEED YOU TO HAVE:*** Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other related field preferred* 2+ years of proven accounting experience, preferable in AP/AR in a corporate environment* Proven experience with QuickBooks Desktop* High-level of competency with Excel spreadsheets, intermediate level and above only* Proficiency with financial software* Experience with corporate and business taxes a plus* Experience assisting with corporate tax returns and financial reporting**ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:*** Work environment: Fast-paced, in-person office setting* Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours a day* May be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and telephone* Light to moderate lifting may be required, up to 25 pounds* Specific vision abilities required due to viewing computer terminals and company data* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsThis job description should not be interpreted as all-inclusive; it is intended to identify major responsibilities, skills and requirements of the job.
