Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Mechanical Construction Project Manager to join our team in San Diego, CA. With a legacy of nearly 50+ years in providing exceptional service, we are a recognized leader in the mechanical construction sector. Our expertise spans advanced building information modeling (BIM), design-build services, sustainable solutions, and complex mechanical system installations. This role will manage projects across a variety of industries, including healthcare, life sciences, commercial, and industrial markets.
Compensation: $135,000 - $150,000 annually (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of mechanical construction projects to ensure safety, timely delivery, and adherence to budget.
- Oversee project execution, focusing on safety compliance, labor productivity, quality control, and financial outcomes.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain detailed schedules.
- Source and procure materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Handle change order processes with thorough documentation and clear communication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project financials, including cash flow, forecasts, and cost control measures.
- Lead on-site teams to enforce safety protocols and company policies.
- Resolve challenges effectively through coordination with stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project records, including daily logs and updated plans.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years in mechanical construction project management.
- Demonstrated success managing projects in healthcare, commercial, or industrial environments.
Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Proficient in project management tools and BIM technology.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication abilities.
- Adept at managing multiple projects and adapting to dynamic priorities.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
