Octagon Media, LLC is a full service advertising agency and marketing firm seeking a Graphic Design Intern to support creative production and help bring client and internal brand ideas to life in Baton Rouge, LA.
Position Summary
The Graphic Design Intern will assist the creative team with designing and adapting visual assets for marketing and brand initiatives. This role is ideal for a motivated designer who enjoys collaborating, learning design best practices, and contributing to real deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
You will help with concepting, layout, and preparation of design files while building strong fundamentals in typography, composition, and visual storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with creating and updating marketing and brand design materials for client and internal campaigns
Support layout and production of graphics for digital and print applications
Maintain organized files and support version control for creative assets
Prepare design deliverables by following established formatting and quality guidelines
Incorporate feedback from designers and project stakeholders to refine work
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a design, visual arts, communications, or related program, or graduate
Strong visual design fundamentals, including typography, layout, and color usage
Willingness to learn and take direction while maintaining attention to detail
Basic proficiency with common design workflows and file handling
Ability to collaborate in an onsite setting and manage time effectively in a part-time role
Preferred Qualifications
Experience creating design assets for marketing, social, or brand-related projects (academic or personal)
A portfolio showcasing relevant graphic design work and visual experimentation
Familiarity with preparing production-ready files and exporting assets for different formats
Interest in branding, campaign storytelling, and maintaining consistent visual identity
