Biobank Technician - 2026 Spring/Summer Life Sciences Graduates

Azenta seeks a Biobank Technician to register, label, retrieve, and store biological samples while maintaining strict temperature controls and regulatory compliance. The position operates on second shift at facilities in Indianapolis or Plainfield, Indiana, and is targeted at 2026 life sciences graduates.

Responsibilities

• Register, label, scan barcodes, and store biological samples at required temperatures
• Retrieve and package materials for lab services, shipments, and discards with quality checks
• Maintain chain of custody and audit trails using inventory management system
• Investigate and document issues in sample registration and retrieval
• Generate location management reports and assist with facility upkeep

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years demonstrating teamwork, self-motivation, detail orientation, and professionalism
• Life sciences experience preferred
• GMP/GTP/CLIA experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work with cryogenic materials
• Microsoft Excel proficiency with basic and intermediate functions

Compensation: $21.00 base
