This role is for a traveling Respiratory Therapist specializing as an RRT, providing clinical coverage in a hospital environment for a 13-week contract. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,597–$1,680 per week Guaranteed hours: 0 hours Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 36 hours per week, night shifts (12-hour nights) Start date: 06/15/2026 Setting: hospital environment Responsibilities Administer prescribed respiratory therapies (oxygen, aerosol therapies, airway clearance techniques) and monitor patient responses. Manage ventilator support per physician orders and protocols; adjust settings as appropriate. Assess patients requiring respiratory care, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team. Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation as directed; participate in weaning and extubation readiness when indicated. Maintain infection control practices, device hygiene, and equipment safety; accurately document care and interventions. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge expectations; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and float to areas within scope as needed.
