Tax Associate

Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, including Forms 1065, 1120, and 1120-REIT. Manage tax compliance for a variety of real estate partnerships, corporations, and investment entities. Review partnership tax returns and supporting tax work papers for accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with external CPA firms and internal accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate tax filings. Research and resolve tax notices and inquiries from various taxing jurisdictions. Assist with multi-state tax compliance and related tax projects. Maintain organized tax records, work papers, and supporting documentation. Collaborate with internal accounting and finance teams on tax-related matters. Monitor relevant federal, state, and local tax developments affecting the company’s real estate portfolio. Work independently to identify and resolve tax compliance issues and meet filing deadlines. Qualifications 3–4 years of tax experience, preferably with a large public accounting firm. Strong experience with real estate and partnership taxation. Experience with REIT taxation strongly preferred. Experience preparing and/or reviewing Form 1065 partnership tax returns. Experience with Form 1120 corporate tax returns and Form 1120-REIT preferred. Experience with multi-state tax compliance. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively with internal teams and external accounting firms.
