Registered Nurse - Postpartum and Antepartum Care

Location: Frederick, Maryland

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shifts, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description: The role primarily focuses on caring for postpartum, newborn, and antepartum patients, with responsibilities that include floating to Labor & Delivery to support LDRP needs. This position requires a strong foundation in antepartum and postpartum care, along with the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to postpartum and antepartum patients.
• Perform newborn assessments and support breastfeeding and lactation.
• Assist with circumcision care and infant identification protocols.
• Manage postpartum complications including hemorrhage and pain assessment.
• Support and educate families regarding discharge planning and care.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in cross-training for labor and delivery as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, including acute care nursing.
• Must possess an active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification) required at the time of submission.
• Previous travel nursing experience is necessary.
• Experience in antepartum and EFM preferred.
